2021 Perry Prize for Drawing Finalists Announced

This year, PLC Sydney’s annual Adelaide Perry Prize for Drawing received over 480 entries from artists across Australia.

PLC Sydney was honoured to have the participation of esteemed artist Lindy Lee, as judge who viewed submissions in January and made a selection of 44 finalists. Lindy will visit the Gallery in February, just prior to the official opening of the 2021 Exhibition of Finalists, to decide upon the overall winner of the $25,000 acquisitive prize.

The 2021 shortlisted artists are: Jane Alexander, Margaret Ambridge, Kim Anderson, Maree Azzopardi, Peter Berner, Nicola Bolton, Mitchel Brannan, Filippa Buttitta, Carmel Byrne, Susanna Chen Chow, Louisa Chircop, Carol Cooke, Kate De la Motte, Amy Dynan, Garry Foye, Todd Fuller, Peter Gardiner, Jane Gerrish, Minka Gillian, Anna Glynn, Geoff Harvey, Nicci Haynes, Beric Henderson, Kendal Heyes, Joanne Makas, Peter Maloney, Nick Morris, Eva Nolan, Toshiko Oiyama, Wayne Pataki, Lori Pensini, Emily Portmann, Daniel Sherington, Fleur Stevenson, Hiromi Tango, Yvette Marie Tziallas, Maryann Uren, Kate Vassallo, Craig Waddell, Kathie Wallace, John Webb, Diana White, Natalie Wood and Maria Zeiss

At the close of the exhibition a people’s choice award of $2,000 will be awarded to the finalist’s work voted favourite by Gallery visitors. Voting slips are available at the Gallery.
