Adelaide Perry Prize for Drawing 2025 Exhibition of Finalists

Opening: Friday 28 February at 7.00 pm
The annual exhibition of the Perry Prize Finalists was selected by Danie Mellor, artist. 2025 marks the 20th Anniversary of this prestigious prize. Artists from across Australia, both emerging and established, were invited to enter works for this acquisitive art award valued at $25,000.

Term 2 Exhibitions
Maria Fernanda Cardoso 'Fierce Maternity'. Eucalyptus woody gumnuts that an incredibly fierce maternal drive to protect their seed. They will grow wood around them, sometimes for years and years, waiting for the right moment to release their seed into the world.

Maria Fernanda Cardoso blends nature, art, science, and technology to transform unconventional materials into awe-inspiring installations, sculptures, performances and videos. Her beautiful work invites us to experience the wonders of nature. In May, a survey of her work will be displayed in conjunction with an exhibition of award winners in the PLC Sydney Students’ Photographic Prize 2025.

The Gallery will feature works by Sydney Photographer Maria Fernanda Cardoso alongside PLC Sydney Student Photographic Prize Finalists. There will also be tours of The Croydon Studios, where you can see our Artist-in-Residence, Amanda Penrose Hart, working.
